I have a soft spot for this Everybody’s Trying To Be My Baby. I love the cheeky, light-heartedly bragging tone. Seems like a great fit for George’s witty, ironic and sort-of-but-not-quite humble personality.

It wouldn’t work at all for Paul McCartney, right?

I also think it has a really nice authentic rock’n’roll sound and a great performance. Although a Cavern regular (meaning they knew it inside out), it was recorded later for the Beatles For Sale album and benefits greatly from improved production and technology.
